    Description

    Under the guidance of the Catastrophe Modelling Portfolio Lead for the Marine and Energy classes, the role is dedicated to advancing the objectives and strategies outlined by Marine underwriters, aiming for heightened profitability and fortified portfolio resilience.

    Key Accountabilities
    To own end-to-end M&E Cat modelling/data capture processes, maintaining up-to-date documentation
    To ensure M&E exposure data standards are well understood by Underwriting and actively monitored
    To report and make data quality recommendations highlighting areas for improvement within M&E
    To drive process efficiency by embedding technology, most notably Apex, within M&E
    Ensure processes are aligned with the company's best practice (R&D), exceed Lloyd's minimum standards
    Excellent academic qualifications with a degree desirable but not essential
    Strong mathematical, modelling, technical background
    Minimum 6 months to a year's catastrophe modelling experience
    Experience of major vendor models RMS and/or AIR essential
    Experience of / proficiency in the use of mapping / analytical software, QGIS, Spatial Key etc. desirable
    Must be proficient in Excel and the use of SQL
