About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic Health Care assistants to join our In-Patient Unit.


Your day will involve


You will assist the Staff Nurses and contribute to the provision of care by supporting both the patient and their family facing the challenge of terminal illness.


About you
We are looking for someone with

  • Experience of caring for patients who are at end of life.
  • A good standard of communication and the ability to work without direct supervision is essential.
  • An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent would be beneficial.

Oakhaven Hospice serves the community of the New Forest, providing in-patient, day hospice and community care for patients with life limiting illnesses and support to their families/carers.

  • Salary £9.96 £11.50 per hour depending on experience (plus enhancements between 30% and 75% depending on hours worked)
