- Under the general direction of the AdministrativeDirector and in collaboration with the Chief of Laboratory Medicineand Section Medical Director leads manages monitors implements andsupervises testing quality and compliance standards in thedepartment of pathology laboratory medicine at BMC and foraffiliated community health centers (CHCs) as required.
- Manages a subspecialty section for the Laboratory (BloodBank and Transfusion Services Central Receiving Area ChemistryHematology Phlebotomy). Ensures maintenance of standards that meetor exceed those required for College of American Pathologist (CAP)and The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation and other externalagencies (such as AABB DPH).

- Equivalent agency is defined asan agency that requires a degree in science from an accreditedcollege or university with successful completion of an examinationfor certification.
