    Job Title: Urology Staff Nurse at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust

    We are seeking a registered nurse to join our friendly and supportive Urology team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and support throughout the Urology patients' journey.

    The Urology team at the Royal Free offers extensive support and opportunities for professional development. You will receive comprehensive induction, ongoing support from senior nursing team, Urology nurse specialists, and Consultant Urologists. There are various avenues for career advancement within renal services at the trust.

    Candidates must be NMC registered to be eligible for this position.

    Main Duties:

    The role will involve supporting the urology outpatient unit, primarily assisting with flexible cystoscopy and other diagnostic urology procedures. Key responsibilities include:

    • Supporting nursing and medical colleagues in delivering specialized patient care
    • Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team and service users
    • Managing patient care under supervision
    • Ensuring safety and quality of patient care
    • Leading the unit in the absence of senior staff
    • Managing Nursing Assistants and overseeing tasks
    • Ensuring mandatory training and appraisal compliance
    • Improving patient care based on feedback
    • Modeling excellence in practice
