    Job Description

    • In this role as a Principal Mechanical Engineer at AECOM, you will engage in exciting projects ranging from Heathrow's baggage system to educational inspections, alongside collaborations with industry leaders like Rolls Royce and BP.
    • Based at our Chesterfield office, you will benefit from affordable local parking and a nearby train station, creating a convenient work environment.
    • Key responsibilities include:
    • Coordinating and managing small project teams
    • Serving as a lead engineer on mid-to-large-size projects
    • Providing specialized technical input and direction for studies and design efforts
    • Presenting technical solutions to clients and ensuring quality control reviews of junior engineers' work
    • Participating in the development of technical proposals and overseeing technical resources on large projects
    • Engaging in design team meetings, tender processes, and client liaison activities
    • Identifying and meeting clients' requirements effectively

    Qualifications

    • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • Portfolio showcasing competencies across various sectors
    • Proficiency in Hevacomp and NBS specification writing software
    • Competency in coordinated containment runs and ceiling space optimization
    • Familiarity with Revit software and BSRIA Design Guides
    • Thorough knowledge of Building Regulations and excellent communication skills
    • Design experience in multi-service design
    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
    • Membership of CIBSE and CEng accreditation or working towards it
