    Description

    A leading UK-based metal stamping, laser fabrication, and welding company boasts a skilled workforce of over 100 individuals, operating from a sizable manufacturing facility the West Midlands.     Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary between £35,000 and £45,000
  • Bonus scheme

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Comprehensive training
  • Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 16:30 and 08:30 – 13:30 Friday

    • As a Process Engineer the purpose of the role is:

  • Deliver NPI projects on-time, to specification and budget.
  • Continuous reporting to client and internally.
  • Assisting in implementing solutions to technical issues.
  • Conduct tool design reviews with toolmakers.
  • Manage budgets and purchase from vendors.
  • Hand over all documents, tools and SOPs to the appropriate teams.

    • Key skills required for the Project Engineer:

  • Degree / HNC or equivalent in an engineering or science discipline (will consider long term experience)
  • Deliver the project to schedule and budget independently.
  • Experience with press tooling in design or manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of contracts and commercial awareness.
  • Able to decipher technical drawings efficiently.
  • Use of Microsoft project software.

    • Skills/Experience for a Project Engineer:

  • Understanding of our manufacturing process – press / stamping, laser cutting, press brake, MIG welding, projection welding, machining and mechanical assembly.
  • Know how to work with automation equipment.
  • CAD and SolidWords experience preferred.
  • Able to use basic measuring equipment's (calipers, micrometer, height gauge)
  • Understanding of ISO 9000 and IATF 16949

    • Commutable from: Dudley – Walsall – Birmingham – Stourbridge – Kidderminster – Kingswinford – Wombourne - Wolverhampton
