    Default job background
    Description

Whether it's helping the Energy Industry transition to a more decarbonised and sustainable future or helping protect life, property and the environment, every day, what you do, will make a difference.

Our Fixed and Floating Structures Team , as a part of the wider Risk Advisory Department, works across a variety of offshore projects spanning the energy spectrum, with a portfolio of work that includes both renewable and traditional Oil & Gas assets.

Supporting with the delivery of our customer projects, you'll be given real responsibility to manage and deliver global projects, whilst you continue to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of the Energy industry.

You'll get the chance to provide innovative solutions to challenging problems and apply your expertise in linear and non-linear structural analysis of both bottom fixed and floating structures, including strength, fatigue, impact, extreme wave analysis, and detailed FEA of components.

Based in either our Aberdeen, London or Loughborough offices, you'll join a diverse group of structural and mechanical engineers delivering structural consultancy services to a range of clients.

We have a proud history of developing talented people into industry experts, so we would be keen to hear from people with a desire to utilise their technical experience to transition into the offshore/renewables industry.

Additionally, you will have ample opportunities to engage in project management and commercial activities, with the autonomy to lead and support technical proposal preparation.

Your expertise will be invaluable in helping shape our team's approach to creating innovative solutions for our clients, defining our future strategy, and enhancing our capabilities to identify opportunities for wider integration of our services.

You'll also work closely with our business development team, contributing to winning new business with existing and potential clients, developing proposals, bidding for contracts, attending client meetings and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Work as technical lead on projects to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to clients, performing a range of structural analyses including strength, fatigue, pushover and detailed FEA
Fulfil role in verifying others' work, and own technical work to support team targets and manage your own projects and work with a high degree of independence, supported by mentors and other senior engineers
Support the Team Lead to develop and grow our Fixed and Floating Structures business including preparation of tenders and proposals and successful negotiation of commercial terms, acting as Customer / Key Account Manager role for large customers and having regular meetings with existing customer network to grow existing services and develop new opportunities
