    Description

    Seeking technically strong quantitative strategists to sit alongside originators and key sales people at the forefront of a brand new desk, within highly successful, quantamental commodities hedge fund.

    One of the most successful commodities businesses to date, a fact which can be accredited to its use of computer-driven approach and rigorous scientific research.

    Comprises a combination of systematic and fundamental businesses, naturally designating high commercial impact.
    Trading in a range of areas, spanning weather derivatives to natural gas & power.
    Driven by some of the most sophisticated alternative data sets the domain has seen.

    Sat directly with salespeople and originators, opportunity to see how your projects directly impact PnL- become a real partner in the business.

    Desk is a new build with the financial backing of an already successful business: opportunity to work with exceptional people / tools and make your long-term mark on a new desk.

    Desk aligned projects but with a highly technical slant- see below.
    Data sourcing, prototyping, documentation, productionisation, scaling).
    Research tooling in Python.
    Python expertise.
    ~ Experience with risk engines and pricing systems.
    ~ Appetite to move into a commercial role: able to articulate the technical challenges of your previous projects, as much as the impact they had on business.
