As a Housing Allocations Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the fair and efficient allocation of social housing within the West Berkshire area.

Reporting to the Housing Allocations Team Leader, you will be responsible for:


  • Carrying out property viewings and inspections
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases
  • Liaising with housing providers and external agencies
  • Providing advice and support to applicants and tenants

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A good understanding of housing legislation and allocations procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a team
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

This role is fixed term until 02/09/202- Backfill for secondment
