Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your local community? Do you have a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Housing Service as a Housing Allocations Officer.

As a Housing Allocations Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the fair and efficient allocation of social housing within the West Berkshire area.

Reporting to the Housing Allocations Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

Carrying out property viewings and inspections
Maintaining accurate records and databases
Liaising with housing providers and external agencies
Providing advice and support to applicants and tenants

To excel in this role, you should have:

A good understanding of housing legislation and allocations procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively within a team
Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
