    Financial Accountant at an Established Organisation in Southampton, Hampshire

    CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-established organization in Southampton, Hampshire to hire a skilled Financial Accountant to join their team full-time. This position plays a vital role in supporting various entities, managing financial reporting, and contributing to technical accounting projects. Working closely with key stakeholders and support staff, you will provide recommendations to maintain financial integrity, accuracy, and completeness, with the added benefit of hybrid and flexible work arrangements.

    Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:

    • Prepare and assist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, as well as statutory reporting obligations.
    • Contribute to both internal and external audit activities, including year-end processes and audit deliverables.
    • Support technical accounting projects by exploring accounting treatment options, making recommendations, and implementing necessary process or reporting modifications.
    • Participate in management reporting, analytics, and other requested ad hoc tasks.

    Requirements for the Ideal Candidate:

    • Qualified finance professional (ACCA/ACA/CIMA), including individuals transitioning from practice to the industry.
    • Excellent communication skills for engaging with colleagues, external partners, auditors, and advisors, providing technical guidance and supporting process improvements.
    • Proactive mindset with a focus on development, attention to detail, and strategic thinking abilities.
