We have exciting vacancies for an Inclusive Economy and Communities Officers to join our team and support with the delivery of our Inclusive Economy and Communities Plan for Trafford. These are exciting and varied roles that support thecreation of an inclusive economy in Trafford by developing and implementing arange of place-based projects including, business support and growth,investment, employment and skills and community development and regeneration.
Aboutthe role
Asa principal point of contact in your locality, you will work collaborativelywith partner agencies, the VCFSE sector, businesses, councillors and local stakeholdersto develop their assets, support business growth and job creation to improvethe quality of life for local people.
In this varied role, you will use your skills and knowledge to help local businesses togrow, promote Trafford to new investors, assist residents into employment andapprenticeships and support the development of the VCFSE sector. Key to the role is encouraging businesses andpartners to contribute to social value by being part of the Trafford Community.
Aneffective communicator and organiser, you will work on a variety of initiativesto deliver employment support to residents including organising job events andcareer fairs and recruitment sessions for employers. You will work with a rangeof stakeholders to help those residents facing most disadvantage to gainemployment.
About you
You will have at least 2 years relevant experience in a related field, supporting a range of partners (such as Local Authority, local businesses, stakeholders and Voluntary and Community Sectors). You will have experience of working within a team and working collaboratively with employers, community groups, private and public sector organisations and residents to provide support, identify opportunities and deliver change.
You will have a degree or equivalent qualification in related discipline or formal off the job training supported by certification.
An effective communicator and organiser, you will work on a number of initiatives to deliver employment support to residents including organising job and career fairs, recruitment sessions for employers and work with a range of stakeholders to help those residents facing most disadvantage to gain employment.
Additional Information
Flexibility will be required to work outside core hours to attend meetings and networking events
You will have flexibility in terms of hybrid working at home and in the office
You will be required to travel around the borough in this role to meet with clients, stakeholders and partners
