- Working with the Programme SRO (Senior Responsible Owner) responsible for defining and documenting the programme Business Case.
- Create and implement an appropriate programme structure, resourcing strategy and delivery approach.
- Manage programme governance to ensure programme and project management procedures are adhered to within Government protocols and support running of the programme board with SRO (Senior Responsible Owner).
- Work with stakeholders and represent the programme at all senior management meetings, ensuring communication and understanding of the programme is effective.
- Demonstrate leadership by providing influence, direction and guidance to staff to support the delivery of Portfolio Delivery team objectives.
- Work in collaboration with fellow CSLs across all functions for the good of DVSA and to create a high performing and well-respected Agency.
- We are looking for someone with experience of successfully delivering project and programmes, whether in a permanent or contractor capacity. This includes demonstrable experience of risk management, stakeholder and change management, and budgeting and costing.
- You are an influential leader and can provide clear direction and guidance to your team to support the effective delivery of objectives, while demonstrating role model behaviours.

Job description
As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for devising, organising, implementing, managing and delivering large scale projects and programmes to agreed timelines.
This post also manages budget and quality in accordance with Government protocols including programme governance, project interdependencies affecting the programme and working with Head of Business Change on programme benefits realisation .
The successful candidate will also be responsible for corporate support to programmes and projects as a member of the DVSA CSL group and may have line management responsibilities for Project Manager(s).

This role can be based in ,�, , or your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this.
Occasional travel with potential overnight stays may be required.
