    Player Care & Wellbeing Officer, Liverpool FC Women
    Full Time

    We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC Women team as a Player Care & Wellbeing Officer on a fixed term contract basis.

    In this varied role, you will develop and support the wellbeing of LFCW players both emotionally and holistically.

    You will lead on Player care and the use of existing staff to support player development, including manage/action the player mental health and wellbeing strategy.

    Lead on player care matters for LFCW players.
    Support the welfare, wellbeing and mental health of LFCW players in line with industry best practice.

    Support the collection and storage of appropriate Parental Consent forms for U18 players taking part in LFCW 1st team activities.

    Support the day-to-day management of safeguarding.
    Liaise with parents/guardians (where relevant) on all welfare and player care issues.
    Liaise with the LFCW Safeguarding lead, the club Head of Safeguarding and General Counsel on all safeguarding issues.
    Liaise with Senior LFCW 1st team staff and press dept. Communicate relevant information about player care issues to the appropriate coaches.
    Manage any citizenship or community engagement activities.
    Work closely with the Medical Team/Psychologist to manage the Mental & Emotional Wellbeing strategy.
    Arrange individual player travel when appropriate, creating an itinerary and communicating this to all relevant stakeholders.

    Manage all player departures from the club, supporting upon release and assisting in the transition of players to other clubs, employment, education or training.

    Work with players on further education and post-football career opportunities.

    Organise and manage player welfare records, safeguarding records, ED&I, consent forms, welfare communications, parent meetings (where U18) and meeting minutes.

    Provide player care support to loan players where appropriate.
    Organise and attend meetings and keep records and file information, upload data where appropriate.

    To be successful in this role, you will have experience and knowledge of welfare and player care within a sporting environment.

    You will hold a FA Welfare Officer qualification or equivalent and FA Safeguarding or equivalent certificate with a Risk Assessment qualification, knowledge of GDPR and mental health awareness desirable.

    You will also be able to showcase excellent communication and ideally will be able to speak other languages. Experience of making travel arrangements or knowledge of the requirements for sports tournaments and tours would be beneficial.

    This is a fixed term contract for a minimum of 1 year working37.Your main base will be our Melwood Training Ground.
