    East Cambridgeshire District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager (Development Control) to join the team.

    includes Market Supplement of £7000 annually, an essential car user allowance of £1,239 annually and 17.2% employer pension contribution.

    Planning Manager (Development Control) – The role:

    We're in search of a leader who can skilfully manage the challenges posed by rapid housing and commercial growth, adapt to evolving government policies, and align with our corporate objectives.

    This position is pivotal as we embark on a journey to modernise our services, prioritising digital-first approaches and enhancing efficiency while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.

    Planning Manager (Development Control) –

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead a team in strategically navigating rapid housing and commercial growth
    • Ensure adherence to government policies and corporate objectives
    • Embracing digital transformation for a more customer focussed and efficient approach
    Planning Manager (Development Control) – You:

    • Degree or equivalent in Town and Country Planning or a related field is essential
    • Good working knowledge of planning processes and regulation
    • Individual with ambition and drive to shape the planning department
    • Capable of reading and interpreting plan and technical or legal documents,
    • Excellent digital skills
    • Planning Manager (Development Control) – Benefits:
