Are you readyto take up aleadership role that has global healthcare impact The BNF andBNFCpartners are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual withstronghealthcare experience to join us as the Head of BNFPublications. This is an opportunityto lead and shape the strategicdevelopment of our globally respected healthcareresources the BNFand BNF for Children (BNFC).

As Head ofBNFPublications you will be the visible leader of the BNF and BNFCboth withinand outside our organisation. You will formulatestrategic content and productdevelopment plans driving businessgrowth while also nurturing relationshipsacross the health servicewith government departments and with our diverserange ofstakeholders and partners.

Your role willalsosupport broader publishing strategies across Pharmaceutical PresstheRoyal Pharmaceutical Societys knowledge business whilechampioning BNF andBNFC and advocating for theirimportance.

KeyResponsibilities

• Collaborate with the Content Director to formulate astrategic development plan for the BNF and BNFC.
• Transform strategies into effective operational plans andensure their implementation by teams within PharmaceuticalPress.
• Uphold high standards of qualitytimeliness and professional relevance across the BNF andBNFC.
• Support the commercial marketing andproduct development activities of Pharmaceutical Press specificallyin relation to BNF and BNFC.
• Build andmaintain constructive working relationships with key stakeholdersand joint venture partners.
• Represent the BNFand BNFC as an ambassador to thirdparties.

EssentialRequirements

• Degree inpharmacy medicine or a related clinical field.
• Deep understanding of the health service including theimportance of the BNF and BNFC in the UK health system and currenthealth policy in the UK.
• Proven experience inmanaging complex stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in managing budgets and understandingfinancial reporting.
• Experience in matrixmanagement including a demonstrated ability to make things happenacross different teams within an organisation.
• Excellent verbal and written communicationskills.
• An understanding of the importance ofconsistency and quality in systems andprocesses

DesirableSkills

• Knowledge ofcontent creation processes.
• Understanding ofinformation delivery in a digitalenvironment.

BNFPublications

The BNF is a jointventure between Pharmaceutical Press and BMJ. The BNF for Childrenjoint venture partnership also includes the Royal College forPaediatrics and Child Health and the Neonatal and PaediatricPharmacy Group. BNF Publications are produced in print and digitalformats and are used across the UK and internationally. They arewidely respected as the gold standard for prescribing practice inthe NHS and are an essential resource for frontline clinicians.

PharmaceuticalPress is the knowledge business of the Royal PharmaceuticalSociety. Were the world leaders in evidencebased pharmaceuticalpublications and guidance. Pharmacists and other healthcareprofessionals trust us to provide expert analysis educationalsupport webinars and news that informs supports and enhances theirpractice. We independently source evaluate and communicate and makepractical medicines knowledge accessible worldwide. In thePublishing Directorate the following teams work collaboratively toprovide our worldclass products: the Journals team; the Sales andMarketing team; the Technology team; the Product team and theEditorial team (in which this rolesits).

Howwe are currentlyworking

RPSsupports and works in a hybrid way which means you will be able towork from home however there will be an expectation forcollaborative facetoface working with our committed experienced andengaged teams on average and typically this may be somethingbetween 48 working days per month at our LondonOffice.
