- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients' property insurance needs.
- Lead and develop a team of 5 property underwriters, providing coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Become a trusted advisor to your clients, ensuring they receive the best possible service.
- Contribute to the development of new insurance products to meet the evolving needs of clients.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- A minimum of 2 years' Team Leading/Management experience
- Strong Property Underwriting experience gained working for either a personal lines or commercial insurer or broker.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients.
- Experience using Acturis or similar insurance software.
- Proficiency in MS Office.

This is a hybrid role, where you can enjoy the flexibility of remote working with one day a week in the Guildford office.
The vacancy arose due to the well-deserved retirement of the long-serving manager, who held the position for an impressive 20 years. They are committed to ensuring a smooth handover and will provide you with all the support you need.

In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting new business and renewals for a portfolio of private clients. You will be entrusted with a delegated authority of up to £4 million, and you will play a key role in ensuring the company meets its underwriting targets.
