Reporting to the Procurement & Fleet Director UK & Ireland, the Head Of Indirect Procurement is a strategic role with primary responsibility for managing the UK & Ireland's Indirect procurement functions and aligning with the procurement strategy.
Responsible for providing strong functional leadership to the indirect area of the Procurement department reporting into this role, communicating to those departments the expectations of the business in relation to the business objectives, culture, values, attitudes and behaviours and ensuring that operational policies and practices help drive those appropriately.
Support the Procurement Director on creation and implementation of the Procurement strategy and vision which focuses on the reduction of risk and cost whilst providing excellent levels of service to stakeholders.
Drive systems and process to provide qualitative data is used to drive business decisions ensuring its accuracy, ease of access and reliability.
Manage and review budgets including cost-saving initiatives and rebate performance.Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that quality, service and client requirements are considered and applied when negotiating commercial value.
Responsible for delivering and reporting on procurement synergy targets on M&A activity.Supporting transformation within the Procurement team and implementing change management throughout the organisation
Lead and manage a team to create and execute a category management plan to reduce total cost, improve quality of supply and mitigate risk within the supply chain
Experience managing a high performing team in Indirect procurement.
Excellent strategic planning skills.
Ability to present to and negotiate/influence executive level stakeholders.
Proven track record of delivery cost reduction through synergy
Experience working in M&A Procurement
