- Create and maintain current assembly standard operating procedures (SOP's).
- Create and maintain assembly routings.
- Design and develop assembly jigs and fixtures.
- Design, develop and implement assembly cells including line balancing activities.
- Calculate assembly cycle time.
- Conduct continuous improvement activities through Kaizan and Lean manufacturing techniques.
- Support Product design team by partaking in design/product reviews.
- Support production though NPI
- Mechanical engineering degree or similar
- Experience in the assembly of electronics
- Experience working with Cable and harnessing.
- Experience of 3D Parametric CAD (Desirable)
- Proficiency with Microsoft office, primarily excel and word.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work
- Familiar with MRP/ERP systems
- 26 days holiday + bank holidays
- Contract - Full time, permanent
- 37.5 hours per week
- Salary of £40k - £45k DOE

This is a key role within the Research and Development department.
