Description

Elvet Recruitment is currently looking for a Site Manager to join an established Civil Engineering contractor in the North East. The initial site will be located just outside Sunderland, with potential for additional projects in the area.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a company that has a solid presence in the region, boasting a strong order book for the upcoming months.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Full management of the site, reporting to and coordinating with a Contracts Manager & Construction Director.
Leading projects from initial setup to completion.
Reviewing and updating project schedules.
Keeping detailed daily site reports.
Managing material orders for the site.
Ensuring compliance with RAMS regulations.
Conducting progress meetings with senior management and clients.
Supervising on-site teams and subcontractors.

Experience required:

Must have:

Prior experience as a Site Agent or Site Manager.
Proven track record in managing projects from start to finish.
Specific expertise in areas like Roads, Sewers, Foundations, and Drainage.
Certifications in SMSTS, Temporary Works, Appointed Person, and First Aid.
Basic proficiency in IT tools.

Nice to have:

Background in Engineering, progressing from Site Engineer to Site Agent.
Degree or HNC/HND qualification in civil engineering.

Remuneration:

A competitive salary of up to £50,000 (based on experience) + benefits.
