    Senior Commercial Manager - High Voltage


    Rate:
    Inside IR35

    Contract Duration: 12 months

    Working Arrangements:
    Hybrid 2 days office & 3 days home

    People Group are looking to recruit a HV Commercial manager from a Network Rail or TFL background to work for a leading Rail Consultancy.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Management of NEC3 Option C construction contracts, including reviewing andresponding to contract communications, compensation events, early warnings,quotations, and applications for payment.

    Regularly reviewing and updating the project risk register and risk spend profile
    Following project governance and reporting controls to manage the risk draw down process and additional project spend as required
    Preparation and presentation of monthly project commercial reports, including contract data metrics and forecast to completion.
    Updating and presenting monthly finance reports providing VOWD and cash payment details and variance analysis commentary.
    Updating ad hoc data and reports as required to support business cases and audits
    Procurement and management of survey and enabling works as required by the project team
    Management of claims, mitigation and advising on defence of claims, including
    analysis of the various parties positions.
    Attending and leading project meetings, both with internal teams and with suppliers, including building and managing supplier relationships

    Reviewing and reporting on supplier performance, including review of monthly progress reports and project metrics such as Earned Value and KPIs.

    Managing SAP Ariba contract records, including maintaining a pipeline of works
    Managing SAP Ariba Purchase Orders and monitoring project spend, including management and reconciliation of accruals
    Plan, deliver and manage procurement activities for the HV Power team.


    Essentials and Desirables:
    Developing packaging and procurement strategies for large, complex infrastructureprojects.

    NEC forms of contract, and the ability to manage contract administration, includingcontract communications, change control, variation/compensation eventassessment, valuation/certification, contract remedies and contract close out.

    Use of Asite Contract Administration Management System (CAMS).
    Use of SAP for contract reporting and payments.
    Applicable commercial regulations, public procurement and legislation.
    Cost reporting including production of cash flow forecasts, variance reporting andanalysis.
    Risk and value management and their application in developing strategies,estimates and cost plans.
    Strong oral and written communication skills
    Strong people management skills.
    Well-developed listening skills, tact and diplomacy, and the ability to managestakeholders.
    Excellent numeracy and data analysis skills.
    Stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills.
    Experience working on procurement projects for complex service, systems, orconstruction projects over £150m in a regulated sector.
    Experience of infrastructure systems or delivering civil works contracts in anoperational environment would be an advantage.
    Hold or be taking professional stage of membership of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
