    Working Full time 37.5 hours per week

    Band 6 Therapist- Hands Services

    We have a vacancy for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to work within our Hands service on a permanent basis. We are happy to offer either full time or part time hours to the successful candidate.

    The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapists specialising within the Hands service.

    You will be responsible for managing your own workload and getting involved with service development, whilst having the responsibility of contributing to the overall daily running of the service.

    Main duties of the job

  • Assessment and treatment of patients with hand trauma or post-operative presentations
  • Provision of bespoke splinting to individual patients
  • Working within Hand Therapy team and as part of the wider team involving Plastics and Orthopaedics, and Rheumatology
  • Contribute to service development
  • Support the learning and development of less experienced staff, and those outside the Hand Therapy team
  • Act as a student educator for pre-registration students
  • Participate in and support the In-Service Training programme
  • Working for our organisation
