    Are you a motivated and passionate nurse who is experienced in working in an innovative, fast-paced chemotherapy setting?


    We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse who is ready for a Senior Staff nurse role in our committed, positive and supportive team.

    The main Haematology and Oncology unit and Teenage and Young adult area are based within the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre, and we also offer a community based service at two satellite centres.

    As a day case service we open 08:00 -18:00, Monday to Friday.

    Within these areas we care for and deliver treatment to patients with solid tumours and haematological disorders, through all stages of the cancer journey.

    As a senior nurse you will need to have experience and skills in delivering care in this speciality. Manage patient care according to agreed policies and protocols, taking appropriate action, seeking advice of other members of the multi-disciplinary team as necessary

    Actively participate in and facilitate ward or development projects, audits and quality initiatives in collaboration with senior staff to ensure they meet standards and targets for example the safety thermometer and patient experience surveys, and where appropriate suggest any change change to improve standards.

    Demonstrate the ability to access up-to-date evidence and critically analyse this to inform care practices

    Qualifications and Training
    Current NMC Registration
    Willingness/Evidence to work towards Master's level academic study

    Appropriate post registration experience in nursing and speciality
    Experience of undertaking research or audit projects
    Evidence of commitment to research based practice or evidence of project work undertaken

    Ability to work alone or as part of a team
    Innovative and participates with practice and policy change
    Commitment to the development and provision of high quality nursing care
    Awareness of current national changes in nursing / NHS
