Weston General Hospital is developing into a thriving hospital at the heart of the community.This post is a newly created position as part of the Healthy Weston 2 programme which involves the development of safe, high-quality and sustainable emergency and planned care.
You will be required to work additional shifts including evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.To operationally & strategically lead the provision and development of pharmacy services to care of the elderly care and frailty specialties
Provide a clinical pharmacy service to care of the elderly and frailty services by optimising patient outcomes working within patient care pathways across sectors and healthcare boundaries
Manage the delivery of pharmaceutical care & pharmacy services to align with the vision and plan of Healthy Weston 2 at Weston General Hospital

Qualifications and TrainingMasters degree (or equivalent) in pharmacy
Post graduate diploma or Master's degree in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience
Evidence of continuing professional development
Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Proven experience of working at a strategic level with senior clinicians and managers and experience of working in an integrated directorate team
Proven experience of working at a strategic level across the wider health community
Formal teaching / training/ mentoring training
Proven budget management or monitoring ability and demonstrable success in achieving savings
Proven medicines related policy development and implementation
Demonstrable experience of change management at a pharmacy level
