- Develop and maintain equipment software and related documentation.
- Plan, design, and implement improvements to existing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency while mitigating risks associated with component obsolescence.
- Innovate, design, and establish new processes to meet manufacturing needs.
- Suggest upgrades to control systems for better equipment performance.
- Ensure manufacturing teams have all essential software, documentation, procedures, drawings, and parts lists in the technical construction file.
- Keep site control system specifications and equipment standards up to date.
- Validate software and control systems as per relevant standards.
- Support Operational Technical teams in addressing breakdowns and fault-finding.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Operational Technology Leader.
- Practical engineering experience, either through apprenticeship or a minimum of 5 years with relevant educational background (HND/HNC/Degree).
- Experience in a related industry such as medical device manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, or special purpose machine building.
- Proficiency in programming and fault-finding, especially with PLCs and servo-controlled equipment.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley, Omron, and industrial robotics equipment is beneficial.
- Demonstrated expertise in software, control systems, and mechatronics within a relevant industry.
- Ability to create and modify electrical drawings, preferably using AutoCAD.
