- Develop and maintain equipment software along with supporting documentation.
- Plan, design, and implement enhancements to existing processes to boost productivity and efficiency while mitigating risks related to component obsolescence.
- Innovate, design, and establish new processes to meet manufacturing requirements.
- Recommend upgrades to control systems to improve equipment performance.
- Ensure that manufacturing teams receive all necessary software, documentation, procedures, drawings, and parts lists included in the technical construction file.
- Maintain and update site control system specifications and equipment standards.
- Validate software and control systems according to relevant standards.
- Assist Operational Technical teams with breakdowns and fault-finding issues.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Operational Technology Leader.
- Have relevant and practical engineering experience with either time served or a minimum of 5 years' experience with technical education (HND/HNC/Degree).
- Experience in a related environment. Ideally medical device manufacture, pharmaceutical, automotive or special purpose machine building.
- Experience of programming and fault-finding, PLCs, and servo-controlled equipment.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Omron and industrial robotics equipment would be advantageous.
- Proven achievement with software, control systems and mechatronics in a related environment.
- Able to generate and modify electrical drawings, preferably using AutoCAD.
