    Description

    Join Our Team as a PLC Controls Systems Engineer at a Leading Global Manufacturer in Plymouth

    We are currently seeking an experienced PLC Controls Systems Engineer to join our team at our Plymouth-based site. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing support for control systems, implementing cost reduction initiatives, process improvements, and capital addition programs.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Control and enhance equipment software revisions and documentation.
    • Design and implement process improvements to boost productivity and efficiency.
    • Innovate new processes to meet manufacturing needs.
    • Identify opportunities for control system upgrades to optimize equipment performance.
    • Ensure manufacturing teams have access to all necessary technical documentation.
    • Maintain control system specifications and equipment standards.
    • Validate software and control systems to meet industry standards.
    • Provide technical support to operational teams for issue resolution.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Operational Technology Leader.

    Essential Qualifications and Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years experience as a PLC Controls Engineer.
    • Engineering qualifications such as a Time Served Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree.
    • Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLC and servo-controlled equipment.
    • Experience with Allen Bradley and Omron equipment is a plus.
    • Knowledge of software, control systems, and mechatronics.
    • Ability to create and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
