    OverviewnEverest People Solutions seeks a Purchasing Manager to oversee daily procurement operations, drive improvement initiatives, and foster a high-performance culture.

    You'll champion sustainability, aligning with organisational goals, and ensure seamless procurement scalability amidst business expansion while meeting SLAs. Responsibilities include refining procurement standards, managing expenditure, cultivating supplier partnerships, and maintaining a dynamic supplier framework. Collaborating with the Supply Chain team, you'll align material needs with sales projections and uphold meticulous procurement records. Leading by example, you'll nurture the team, providing guidance and delivering comprehensive reports on supplier performance and cost savings.


    Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Procurement ManagernNegotiate prices and contract terms with suppliers for both new and existing product lines.nEnsure timely and complete delivery of goods.nRegularly assess business procurement needs.nSet and achieve cost-saving targets.nSupervise the supply base to meet strict inbound delivery deadlines.nIdentify and address potential risks and opportunities.nDemonstrate confidence in making tough decisions.nConduct stock takes and monitor inventory levels.nAnalyse procurement data to produce meaningful business reports.nDevelop comprehensive knowledge of current and potential suppliers by category.nCreate summaries of supplier capability analysis to aid benchmarking.nEstablish thorough market intelligence within specific packaging and ingredient categories.nSupport new product development and provide timely costing inquiries.nTake ownership of and maintain commercial relationships within categories.nFormulate business continuity plans for strategic packaging and ingredient suppliers.nReview and enhance protocols to drive company growth and innovation through supply base optimization.nMake recommendations and devise purchasing strategies.nFulfil any other assigned duties.


    Requirements for the Procurement ManagernCIPS qualification is desirable.nEstablished Buyer with a successful track record in the Food Manufacturing Sector, possessing deep understanding of the supply chain dynamics.nSelf-motivated and proactive individual with strong influencing and negotiation skills, adept at taking initiative and driving results.nExperienced in managing teams and demonstrating effective leadership abilities.nNaturally curious and detail-oriented, with a penchant for analysing commodities markets.nPossesses strong commercial acumen and financial literacy, with a results-driven mindset.nSkilled in time management, capable of setting and achieving challenging targets.nProficient in IT and numerical skills, with confidence in using Microsoft packages.nComfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.nDemonstrates the ability to thrive under pressure, multitask effectively, and utilize data for informed decision-making.
