    Description

    Are you ready to embark on an exciting opportunity as an Indirect Procurement specialist with a leading automotive retailer? Join a fixed-term contract for 12 months and support a crucial merger and acquisition project. This role, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, plays a vital part in the company's success by partnering to boost profitability through quality procurement while upholding ethics and excellence.

    This position offers a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to balance office and remote work, with your base in either Oxfordshire or the West Midlands. The occasional travel across the UK is also part of the role.

    The Opportunity

    • Performing various procurement activities such as managing tenders, negotiating agreements, drafting contracts, and contract management
    • Owning multiple Indirect procurement categories/projects and serving as the go-to expert
    • Achieving tangible results through cost reduction, service enhancement, and innovation
    • Collaborating closely with the Business to align projects with its requirements and core purpose
    • Involvement in broader areas beyond category management like spend reports, policy implementations, and process enhancements
    • Utilizing the P2P system extensively for tender management and ensuring procurement consistency
    • Leading and developing a direct report

    What They Are Looking For

    • Relevant procurement qualification or in progress
    • Demonstrable experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, or category management (experience in Energy, Facilities Management, and Services advantageous)
    • Contract experience, specifically in specification and service level drafting
    • Proficiency in working with a P2P system (experience with Coupa preferred)
    • Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, including senior stakeholders
    • Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills
    • Team player in a fast-paced, diverse business context
    • Proficiency in Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel
