    Description

    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

    The shift pattern is rotational, dayshifts and nightshifts over 7 days hours).

    (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

    Applications from 2024 Newly Qualified Nurse/Midwife, will not be considered for this post.

    As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and evaluation of programmes of care ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients. Care will be delivered in a clinical situation to patients of varying levels of dependency. High quality care is delivered in a safe and supportive environment, which meets identified physical and psycho-social needs. A family centred approach to care is adopted at all times.

  • Motivated to learn and develop practice within paediatrics
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to recognise own limitations
  • Ability to describe personal accountability
  • Awareness of role and responsibilities of the Band 5 Staff Nurse
