    Full time , Permanent Milton Keynes £40,000 per annum

    IPRS6930 Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Day Shift Engineer to ensure that all equipment on the floor are operational and maintained to the highest standard possible.

    You will provide preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance when required. Provide advanced diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair for advanced electronic and mechanical production equipment to ensure efficient operations.6am – 6pm = 12 hoursRota shift -3 shifts / 36 hours per week with additional 20 Banked Shifts per annum20% Shift Allowance

    Essential Job Duties:

    Maintenance of equipmentTrouble shooting - diagnosis of mechanical/electrical faultsPerform preventative maintenance tasksLiaise with suppliers of production equipmentLiaise with Production Manager and Shift Leaders on priority issuesSource spare parts as requiredMaintain stock levels of critical parts in line with cost controls, repair parts, replacement recommendations.

    Communicate concise information at shift handoverMaintain a safe, clean and tidy work environment to minimise riskEngineers will also assist, support and work in general operations, facilities maintenance or production areas to assist with production as business needs or shift leads dictate.

    Ability to retain knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceAbility to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a jobEngineering/electrical knowledgeStrong diagnostic skills in both Electrical and MechanicalCity & Guilds / NVQ or comparable qualification18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) City and Guilds 2382 qualification desirable.2 years equipment maintenance experience in a fast-paced production environment, with a strong electronics background.3 years general mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledgeDue to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application straight away.
