    Description
    Project Developer / Project Development Manager – Renewable Energy (BESS and Solar)
    Our client is the UK Development arm of a global renewable investment manager. The business manages solar, battery storage and grid stability projects across the UK funded by investment.

    The team comprises a group of industry professionals with many years of complimentary experience across the renewable power delivery sector from development, delivery and subsequent operation of renewable energy assets.

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Developer / Project Development Managerto work on the development of major renewable energy schemes (solar and BESS) from initial conception and design through to planning, land acquisition and commencement of construction.

    They are the UK Development arm of one of the most exciting and agile Infrastructure Funds in the international Energy Transition space.

    The fund has recently won awards for its fundraising ability, so this gives you a distinct advantage due to their ability to fund both organic development and project M&A.

    There focus is PV & Storage with projects up to 300MW+ in size. They are currently building out X2 300MW + projects and the plan is to become an IPP.

    Project Identification and Assessment:
    Identify potential sites for solar and BESS projects through market analysis, site visits, and stakeholder engagement.
    Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk evaluations to assess project viability and potential.


    Project Development:
    Lead project development efforts, including securing land rights, permits, and approvals necessary for project execution.
    Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    Manage project timelines and milestones to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
    Cultivate and maintain relationships with landowners, regulatory authorities, utilities, and other stakeholders involved in project development.
    Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with stakeholders to resolve issues and facilitate project progress.

    Financial Analysis and Modelling:
    Conduct financial analysis and modelling to evaluate project economics, including revenue projections, costs, and return on investment.
    Prepare business cases, investment memos, and project proposals to secure financing and investment for projects.


    Regulatory Compliance:

    Stay informed about relevant regulations, policies, and incentives related to renewable energy and ensure projects comply with applicable requirements.

    Manage permitting processes and interface with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project development.
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
    Proven experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on solar and BESS projects in the UK.
    Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development processes, and regulatory requirements.
    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    Proficiency in financial analysis, modelling, and project management tools/software.
    Knowledge of land acquisition, permitting, and regulatory processes in the UK renewable energy sector.
    Passion for sustainability and environmental conservation, with a desire to drive positive change through renewable energy solutions.
