- Carry out site surveys and complete feasibility reports and budget costs.
- Accompany Senior Engineers to client/design team meetings, recording minutes.
- Understand and work in accordance with regulations, standards, and guidance, including Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE guidance.
- Maintain service quality standards and a culture of continuous improvement and constructive expertise.
- Participate in relevant internal/external training initiatives.
- Keep abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice, in particular focusing on Net Zero initiatives and low carbon technologies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Assistant Building Services Design / Sustainability Engineer to join our M+E and NetZero team. Working within the Nottingham Building Surveying business unit, you'll help us to consolidate and grow our Building Services Engineering offering in Nottinghamshire and across surrounding regions.
You'll have opportunity to develop a range of skills, opening up career opportunities within the Construction industry and beyond. At the same time, you'll be making a difference to the way people work and live in buildings and tackling climate change through innovative engineering.
Energy and Carbon are an essential aspect of this position and with the rise in importance of decarbonising the built environment, providing on and off-site renewable energy, implementing NetZero Carbon intervention and new build strategies, our team is expanding to deliver sustainable solutions for our growing portfolio of satisfied clients.
Building Services Engineers play a key part in reducing energy and water usage in schools, offices, and other buildings. They design buildings so that people are comfortable and can live and work with freedom and ease. You'll consider and design technologies such as Solar Panels, Heat Pumps and Controls Systems that keep a building working as efficiently and sustainably as possible.
The individual will work closely with the Managing M&E Engineer and existing teams to support the offering of M&E design and surveying services.

Have experience of using industry standard software, including AutoCAD and Hevacomp/IES/TAS/Trimble/Relux/Dialux, to produce drawings and design calculations.
