- Develop and implement training programs on risk and compliance, maintaining meticulous records.
- Engage in horizon scanning and coordinate activities related to regulatory changes with the first line of defence.
- Craft and execute the compliance monitoring plan, conducting reviews, negotiating findings with stakeholders, and generating reports for the Risk and Compliance Committee.
- Offer compliance guidance and assistance to first-line business units as necessary.
- Assist in drafting Risk and Compliance Policies and managing a comprehensive policy framework for the organization.
- Keep track of regulatory reporting obligations and collaborate with internal data custodians to ensure punctual submissions to regulators.
- Facilitate interactions with regulatory bodies, addressing queries and organizing information.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly Risk and Compliance Committee packs, including recording and disseminating minutes.
- Maintain and update the policy framework for the organization and the intranet hub for the Risk and Compliance Team.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for third-party auditors and oversee conflict of interest procedures, including maintaining conflict logs and employee declarations.
- Support the firm's whistleblowing approach and engage in cross-team cooperation on risk-related initiatives.
- Update the Risk Taxonomy, articulate risk appetite statements with business units, and coordinate Risk and Control Self-Assessment workshops.
- Develop programs for capturing and reporting risk incident management data, and evaluate the effectiveness of business controls.
- Provide risk and compliance assistance to the group's entities on an intra-group basis.
- 4+ years of experience in banking, financial services, and payments, with exposure to both UK and European regulations.
- Professional qualifications in risk or compliance (preferred)
- Good understanding of payment services and e-money sectors, including card schemes and the BIN Sponsorship operating model
- Strong analytical capabilities for assessing complex regulatory and risk matters.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling constructive feedback and collaborative work with diverse stakeholders.
- A natural problem solver who get's a thrill from finding answers and creatively aligning decisions against regulations

As Compliance Manager, you'll collaborate within the 2nd Line of Defense (2LOD) Risk and Compliance team. This multifaceted position entails overseeing varied responsibilities, ensuring each day presents unique challenges. You will undergo comprehensive training encompassing payment systems and broader card scheme landscapes, as well as detailed exploration of platform functionalities and products.
Success in this role hinges on proactive, detail-oriented individuals thriving in dynamic settings and dedicated to upholding the utmost standards of compliance and integrity. The role demands a hands-on approach, with a fervent dedication to regulatory compliance and a willingness to delve into project intricacies, all within a supportive team environment.
Please note, this is a hybrid position. You will require to be on-site in the London office 3 days per week.
