    Job Description

    Do you thrive in the ever-evolving world of digital commerce? Are you an experienced customer-facing consultant with a passion and knowledge in all things' eCommerce?

    If so, we are seeking a highly experienced Commerce Consultant to join our team. As a Lead Commerce Consultant and Subject Matter Expert in all thing's eCommerce, you will be part of our Solution Specialist Expert team. You will leverage your deep experience and knowledge to design solutions that drive success for both existing and new customers. You will work closely with our Technical and Management teams at various stages of customer engagement from pre-sales, scoping, workshopping and estimation to understand client requirements, design scalable solutions with the aim to translate, document and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of the eCommerce landscape and applications across multiple sectors covering B2C, B2B and D2C etc. with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business solutions. You will be an experienced eCommerce leader with an interest in associated technologies across digital commerce use cases.

    What you'll do:

    • Lead client engagements: You will be the main point of contact for clients, driving customer engagements and workshops to gather requirements, understand their challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop strategic solutions: Based on your insights and knowledge in eCommerce ecosystem, such as complex order fulfillment, product and digital information management, omnichannel and more, you will craft comprehensive commerce strategies that address client pain points and align with their long-term objectives.
    • Design and document: You will translate strategy into actionable steps by writing detailed specifications, designing procedures, and creating clear functional documentation.
    • Stay ahead of the curve: You will actively track industry trends, partner technologies, and best practices, ensuring your solutions are future-proof and competitive.
    • Collaborate effectively: You will work closely with with both technical and non-technical teams to understand client requirements and translate them into functional and non-functional solutions, for both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and seamless communication.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Ownership through yourself and the team, of pre-sales engagements, requirements gathering and articulating solution benefits
    • Owning end-to-end solution design including, but not limited to:
    • Functional end to end process design
    • Customer Journey
    • Key group architecture disciplines (Business, Data, Application, Technology, Integration, Security etc.)
    • Technical governance
    • Application of design principles e.g. application performance, optimization, modular design, re-use, scalability etc.
    • Demonstrate best-practice consultancy capabilities throughout all engagements
    • Proactively providing solutions to satisfy customers commercial and functional business needs
    • Running and leading customer workshops/discovery sessions and resulting outputs with customers
    • Be able to perform live demos for specific customer use cases and put innovative solutions at the forefront to excite potential customers.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of client needs and existing systems to identify gaps, recommend enhancements, and define project scope.
    • Scoping and defining the feature breakdown of a given solution
    • Writing the scope into a well-structured Solution Design Document as well as contributing to the Statement of Work
    • Conduct regular high-level technical oversight and provide guidance to ensure adherence to project scope, quality standards, and client expectations
    Qualifications
    • Breadth of Experience: You have a proven track record of success in various digital commerce roles, either as a solution architect or a technical architect.
    • Enterprise Experience: Experience in working on enterprise level, end-to-end eCommerce solutions with complex order fulfillment (preferably with OMS experience) omnichannel and marketplace implementations.
    • Subject matter expertise: You possess a deep understanding of the eCommerce landscape, its technologies, and best practices with some level of technical capability or experience.
    • Consulting mindset: You are comfortable working with diverse clients, driving client relationships, and delivering impactful solutions.
    • Communication mastery: You excel at written and verbal communication, explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Have the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ideally, good public speaking and presentation skills as well as the ability to define & assist in customer case studies.
    • Experience in scope and design: Ability to scope and design projects, gathering requirements, and designing scalable and efficient solutions. Must be able to demonstrate a logical approach to a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and how these feed into the commercial elements of a Statement of Work as well as defining ROI to the customer.
    • Team player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with cross-functional teams.
    • Adaptability and continuous learning: You are motivated by staying ahead of the curve and expanding your knowledge base.
    • Strong data analysis and visualisation skills
