    Description

    An exciting and newly created opportunity has become available for a Technical Performance Supervisor to help assist with maintaining and optimising the day-to-day operation of our water recycling centres in West Huntspill, Vale Road and Taunton, Somerset.

    If you have experience in mechanical or electrical fault finding, have worked as a supervisor within a 24/7 operational environment and are looking for a new role where you can have an impact on how we operate, then we want to hear from you

    Our Western Water Recycling team supports the operation and maintenance of sewage and sludge treatment plants to meet quality standards in the west of our region.

    As a Technical Performance Supervisor, you will assist the Site Manager with supervising, supporting, training and mentoring staff at all levels, as well as assisting Site Operators in their routine maintenance tasks, primarily at Taunton Ham.

    You will also provide assistance and cover for our West Huntspill water recycling centre and Vale Road sludge treatment centre, deputising for the Site Manager when necessary.

    A key part of this role will be to ensure both the process and occupational safety of our people, as well as the operation of our assets and the treatment process.

    supporting operational staff on site to maintain and improve process performance
    actively optimising sludge quality and energy and chemical use
    liaising with and managing contractor activity on site, including reviewing RAMS
    raising process risk assessments, EM&I jobs and prioritising appropriately.
    You will need to be organised and proactive, have great problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working outdoors. Ideally, you will be working towards an NVQ level 3 STW (all wastewater units) or an equivalent electrical/mechanical qualification.
    excellent knowledge of the treatment process with a passion for delivering the highest performance and quality
    mechanical or electrical experience in fault-finding and rectifying issues
    good knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word
    a full clean UK driving licence.

    Finally, to be successful in this role, you will be competent in resolving technical problems in the operation and maintenance of assets with advanced fault-finding and solution skills.

    You must also be able to participate in a full standby rota.
