    AWS Cloud Platform Architect - New team within Global Payments – City of London (Hybrid)

    Salary - £110,000 / £120,000 + Bonus, Benefits

    Location - London / Remote

    We're proud to represent a FinTech scale-up setting a new industry standard in their market. With ambitious plans to scale the platform over the next few years and support an expanding international client base, this role is pivotal in shaping the business's future. As the AWS Cloud and Infrastructure Architect, you'll play a strategic role in building in-house capability, providing direction, fostering innovation, and driving the execution of engineering for a ground-breaking SaaS product.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and implement AWS-based solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
    • Provide expertise in areas such as infrastructure as code (IaC), security, networking, and scalability.
    • Conduct performance assessments and optimization exercises to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
    • Lead migration projects to transition on-premises workloads to the cloud.

    Skills

    • Proven experience architecting and implementing cloud solutions on the AWS platform.
    • In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC.
    • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
    • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
    • EKS or Kubernetes
    • AWS Landing Zone technologies (like Control Tower)
    • High level coding languages
