    We are on the lookout for exceptional talent to be at the forefront of an exciting journey with a world-renowned financial services titan, making its grand entrance into Belfast.

    As part of this ambitious project, we are building a top-tier team of about 150 professionals to transfer and enhance their entire post-trade and settlement function.

    This initiative is not just a job; it's your chance to be part of something monumental.

    Location :
    A state-of-the-art office in the vibrant centre of Belfast, opening its doors for the first time in a couple of weeks

    Role:
    Junior Software Engineer
    Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept:
    Spearhead strategic greenfield and brownfield projects within Prime Brokerage, alongside Business as Usual (BAU) requests.
    Advocate for and implement enhancements to our development processes.
    Provide expert troubleshooting for production system issues.
    Ensure the continued maintenance and upgrading of our software systems.
    Collaborate seamlessly across teams to secure or resolve dependencies efficiently.


    Your Experience:
    A minimum of 3 years in the software development trenches.
    A strong command of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    Proficiency in Java, SQL Server, Postgres, Spring, and Docker.
    A wizard in GitLab source control, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
    Familiarity with digital assets, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) would give you an edge.


    Bonus Experience:
    A background in financial services and understanding of the trade lifecycle will be highly advantageous.
    Experience with cloud technologies, deployment strategies, and any PostgreSQL/Sybase knowledge is a bonus.
    Experience in Unix shell scripting and messaging systems like Kafka, JMS, and Solace.
