    Financial Services Risk Director - London, United Kingdom - Innovative Trials

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance & Business Services Director to lead our finance, human resources, and quality teams.

    As the Business Services Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of these critical areas, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

    This position reports directly to the CEO and requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance, HR management, and regulatory compliance.

    Provide strategic direction and leadership, building a high performing team whilst ensuring that these departments perform beyond expectations in all areas, in collaboration with the Innovative Trials' Leadership Team and key stakeholders.

    Finance strategy development, management and implementation

    People strategy development, management and implementation; whilst providing a hands-on approach to people management; supporting all people across the business both in the UK and globally.

    Quality strategy development, management and implementation


    Financial management:
    Develop, implement and maintain the financial strategy, budgets and forecasts to ensure the company's financial health and stability.
    Lead and manage all aspects of financial reporting including monthly financial statements, cash flow projections and annual audits.
    Analyse and report on financial data to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks providing actionable insights to the CEO
    Manage cash flow and treasury requirements
    Lead with any potential future investments
    Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
    Lead and develop the finance team

    Lead the Company's People team including Talent Acquisition (TA) and Retention, Learning and Development, Employee Engagement, Internal Communications, Reward and Recognition.

    Develop key metrics and data which provide valuable insights to the business to support in decision making
    Lead and develop HR and H&S policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance with UK and US employment laws and regulations

    Ensure that the people team are well developed to provide a commercial and customer focused service to the business including guidance and support to line managers and employees on HR related matters.


    Quality:
    Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
    Establish quality metrics and benchmarks to measure performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
    Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with quality standards and regulations and identify areas for improvement
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
    Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
    Support the CEO and shareholders in the continuing strategic development of the organisation providing insights and recommendations on business performance and opportunities
    Foster cross-functional collaboration with other senior leaders to align financial, HR, and quality strategies with overall organisational objectives
    Represent the company externally of finance, HR and quality matters as needed
    Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executive management, board members, employees, and external partners
    Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance
    Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, human resources, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g.

    Recognised Accountancy Qualification; ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc and/ or Chartered Member of the CIPD with full Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management.

    Proven experience (+5 years) in senior leadership roles overseeing finance, HR, and compliance functions, preferably in a similar industry or organisation.

    In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial regulations.

    Analytical Skills:
    Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
    Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws (both UK and US), and talent management strategies.
    Demonstrated experience developing and implementing quality programs and managing regulatory requirements.

    Risk Management:
    Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to business operations and compliance issues.
    Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans and initiatives.
