    Description

    Job Title: Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer

    Location: Halifax, England

    Position Overview:
    We are currently seeking an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical background, coupled with mechanical knowledge, to perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on our machinery and equipment. Shift Pattern is days and nights.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, implementing timely and effective solutions to minimise downtime.
    • Perform repairs and replacements of electrical components, such as motors, switches, and circuits.
    • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
    • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts inventory, accurately and comprehensively.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
    • Proficiency in mechanical systems and equipment maintenance.
    • Familiarity with PLCs and automated machinery is desirable.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
    • Relevant technical qualifications or apprenticeship in electrical engineering or a related field.
