    The Role

    Job Title: Intern Salary: Competitive Hours of work: Full time – 35 hours per week Location: Based at our Forfar or Dundee office there may be occasional travel to our offices in East Scotland. Contract type: Six weeks summer placement – Across May, June, July and August Responsible to: Manager Responsible for: No direct reports Closing date: 17th April 2024

    We are EQ Accountants Limited, an accounting, taxation, audit, and business advisory practice based in the East of Scotland and offering the full spectrum of solutions to meet our clients' financial needs. Our specialisms include Agriculture, Engineering and Manufacturing, Healthcare, Leisure, Professions, Property and Construction, Technology and Charities.

    We have offices in Dundee, Forfar and Glenrothes, and our teams are committed to utilising their financial and business expertise to inspire, support and encourage clients to realise their ambitions.

    Joining the EQ team at this juncture is an exciting opportunity propelled by the recent investment from Sumer Group. With an ambitious plan to triple turnover within the next five years, EQ stands as a frontrunner in Scotland's accountancy sector.

    Our Intern opportunities

    Suitable for third year University students, we have vacancies for placements in our Dundee and Forfar offices for up to 6 weeks over the summer months.

    We provide an invaluable experience through exposure to a wide variety of assignments allowing you the opportunity to experience first-hand what it is like to work for a progressive accountancy practice.

    We don't departmentalise, which means you will get an all-round experience of accounts, tax, and audit – as well and an understanding of how to start to become a great business adviser.

    Throughout your placement, we provide one to one mentoring and support.

    We are currently seeking applications for our Summer 2024 internship programme, with several vacancies across the Firm. We appreciate how valuable real-world experience can be and as such, we place as much emphasis on recruiting students for internships as we do when recruiting our graduates.
