Description
Teaching Personnel in partnership with a specialist college provision based in the PR5 are looking to hire a behaviour mentor.
Your role would be to provide support for pupils with SEN/SEMH additional needs, promoting good behaviour and providing them with strategies to cope with high pressure situations and feelings.
Full-time role Monday – Friday (8.Be able to travel to and from Bamber BridgePrevious experience in an SEN setting is desirable
Competitive rate of hourly pay (£11.ASAP
These students all have SEMH additional needs and will have an EHC plan in place to support the learning and needs.
You will have to adhere to their EHC plan and differentiate your approach to meet each individual student's needs, meaning you will need to know your students well enough to establish a trusting relationship based on respect, providing them with a safe environment to learn and build confidence, while knowing your students triggers and routines.
The schoolThis specialist provision supports students with SEN/SEMH and provides a safe learning environment and a safe living space for the pupils who have the option to live on site.
The college do have their own curriculum enabling their students to complete their GCSE's and BTEC qualifications whilst providing them with nurture and appropriate support, considering their complex needs.
It is a mixed male and female college aged 16+. Their curriculum is individualised along with their behaviour plans , to suit each pupils needs.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ's on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
