    English Teacher – OFSTED Good – low staff turnover - Sept 2024 – Permanent – Croydon


    We are actively looking to recruit a talented, intelligent and passionate English Teacher, looking for a full time, permanent English Teacher post this September

    Applicants looking to apply for this exciting English Teacher position MUST be qualified, with UK QTS, have experience teaching the English curriculum (KS3 & 4, ideally 5) within the UK, within a diverse, inner-city school.

    Confident, passionate and engaging English ECTs are also welcome to apply, with a proven & supportive ECT induction programme in place

    CONTRACT: Permanent & Full Time

    SALARY: London MPS / UPS

    APPLICANTS: Qualified English Teacher – UK QTS a MUST

    QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching Qualification & 1st / 2:1 English degree

    SCHOOL: Large, mixed Secondary School – 11-18yrs – 2,000+ pupils

    OFSTED: Graded GOOD with OUTSTANDING 6th Form (2022)

    LOCATION: South London – Croydon – ZONE 4 – excellent transport links & staff parking

    The school is a modern, inclusive and supportive secondary school, located in the heart of South London, Croydon. The school site is located a short walk from multiple rail links (zone 4) with free staff parking available on site.

    Pupils come from a variety of backgrounds, varying in ability. Teaching is excellent across the board, consistently being observed as good and outstanding. English is a very popular subject and a regular choice at KS5, with the department achieving excellent results year after year.

    • Qualified English Teachers ONLY to apply - UK QTS a MUST
    • Trained via formal, recognised pathway - PGCE, Schools Direct / SCITT or Teach First

    • Ability to teach English across KS3 & 4 – KS5 an advantage
    • 1st class or 2:1 English degree
