    Description
    Weare looking for an experienced Cloud Solution Architect Consultant to join ourgrowing Data Analytics & AI practice.

    This is a unique opportunity to joinan exciting, growing team but with the backing of a much larger and moreestablished business.

    You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range ofexciting and innovative projects, all whilst playing an integral role ingrowing our data practice.

    OurData Analytics & AI team really likes helping our clients solve theircomplex problems with data, by implementing controls and governance of data,creating actionable insights, embedding machine learning solutions or buildingdata platforms.

    We bring the right team and skills on the table and can offerdeep expertise across Data Strategy, Data Science & Engineering, DataVisualisation, Data Management, Data Architecture and Software Development.

    Youwill be using your experience to help our clients solve their most importantdata challenges.

    You would be also responsible to support the growth of ourteam, helping them to build the skills they need to solve our client'schallenges.

    Design and build cloud-based or hybrid solutions based on client requirements and business needs.

    Design and build data / analytics platforms utilising cloud services for storing, processing, and analysing large data volumes to enable digital transformation.


    • Architecting data warehousing solutions for collecting and storing structured and unstructured data for analysis.
    Integrating BI tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

    • Building technology blueprints and advising clients on the different technology options
    • Translating business requirements (both functional and non functional) into solutions, ensuring compliance with the organisations strategy, policies, and standards and in some cases, help customers to define new policies, principles and standards.
    • Helping clients to identify risks and mitigations for their complex data programmes, as well as transition to modern cloud based infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP) by leveraging related architecture patterns (e.
    g., Designing and building serverless applications that leverage cloud functions and services to handle specific tasks without managing server infrastructure.

    • Modernisation of legacy applications by refactoring it to leverage cloud native services such as serverless computing or microservices architecture.
    • I've been workingwith a large energy client to build their new trusted, end to end data platformin Azure from scratch.
    It has been really rewarding seeing how the lakehousearchitecture and data model I helped design are brought to life viacollaboration with our client's data specialists – we genuinely work as a team.

    I've particularly enjoyed helping them build out and optimise their ETLpipelines in Databricks and Data Factory with a mixture of Spark, Python, andSQL.

    Weare seeking a cloud solution architect with a growth mindset, who is excited byempowering decision making with cloud solutions leveraging data, and keen totake an active part in the growth of the company.

    Design and architect cloud-based solutions that align with clients' needs, ensuring scalability, performance and security in-line with well-architected framework principles.

    Recommend appropriate cloud services and components for specific use cases, considering factors such as compute, storage, databases, networking, and security.

    Advise clients on Cloud / IT strategy as well as best use of cloud architecture and SaaS solutions
    Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams during implementation.
    Review and validate technical designs, code and configurations to ensure they align with proposed architecture.
    Design and implement security measures to protect cloud environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.


    Performance Optimisation:
    Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend optimisations to improve responsiveness and efficiency.
    Monitor and analyse resource utilisation to ensure optimal performance and cost.
    Optimise resources to minimise costs while maintaining performance and scalability.

    Provide cost estimates and recommendations for choosing the right pricing models and services working closely with client IT and business teams.


    DevOps & Automation:
    Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, scaling and management of cloud applications.
    Implement Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software delivery.


    Training & Mentoring:
    Train and mentor junior architects / developers on cloud technologies and best practices.
    Propose innovative solutions to overcome obstacles and achieve project goals.

    • Ability to own and run complex client engagements, interact with leaders across industry, work with senior stakeholders to help them understand and frame their problems, assess their current state, and make impactful recommendations which help shape their thinking.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to cloud computing, architecture, and data management.
