    Women's and Girl's Officer - Cobham, Surrey

    DEPARTMENT: Foundation, Football Development, Football Projects

    REPORTING TO: Steve Shipp, Football Projects Manager

    JOB FUNCTION: To develop and lead on women and girls provision within the 'InspireHer' provision across Chelsea FC Foundation key geographical locations. to further develop and grow the activities, creating inclusive and safe environments for female groups to play sport, be active, develop and gain accreditations.

    LOCATION: Cobham Training Facility, Stoke Road, Cobham. Surrey. KT11 3PT

    CONTRACT: 35 hours per week, permanent, Full Time

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Play Your Part):

    • Through a targeted annual programme, Inspire Her will cultivate ambition, camaraderie and passion for football in young girls in our three local areas: London, Cobham and Kingston. Chelsea FC and Chelsea Foundation will nurture and inspire the next generation of female footballers and leaders on and off the pitch.
    • To coordinate and drive, inclusive and high-quality activity across the core programmes currently running. These to include, but not limited to all In-School and Out of School activity, Player Development Programme activity, female college programmes and the various activity delivered during the school holidays.
    • To work in collaboration with the Education Team to develop and enhance the activities and programmes offered to schools including festivals and events.
    • To work closely with the 'No to Hate' Lead to ensure that all targets set are achieved through a robust monitoring and data collection process.
    • To create and develop a Youth Voice panel to include: women's players, participants from across our range of programmes.
    • To lead on developing the wider area network opportunities in the area to create additional sporting opportunities to further enhance the delivery programme for female players.
    • To oversee all aspects of support for the sessional staff, this includes training and mentoring, scheduling and resources.
    • To innovate and seek new business and networking opportunities to then implement across the area to enhance the delivery programme.
    • To carry out duties relevant to legislation and Foundation policies and procedures.
    • To undertake any Foundation activities that maybe required in addition to the role.

    • To create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead
    • To report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR Department

    MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE (Here to Win):

    • To achieve the set core budget and E.D & I targets.
    • To increase participation across the Women's & Girls programme as per KPI's set.
    • To sustain and grow the Women's & Girls programme as per KPI's set.
    • To be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young female people to succeed and develop.
    • To develop robust relationships with local schools, clubs, organisations and authorities.
    • To support, mentor and guide contracted coaches, co-ordinators and sessional workers in best practice and professionalism

    PROUD TO BE CHELSEA (Person Specification):

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of the new FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification. (FA Level 1 is the equivalent qualification).
    • In date FA Safeguarding Children course & the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
    • Clean driving licence.
    • Enhanced DBS check.

    Experience:

    • Worked for a minimum of 2 years in a community/school/sport setting/ with participants from under-represented groups including girls and young women.
    • Experience in project management and business development.
    • Managed staff in a sporting environment.

    Skills and Behaviours:

    • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
    • Good ability to organise and motivate team members.
    • Confident and outgoing personality.
    • Able to support and improve staff members.
    • Good attention to detail.
    • Reliable and trustworthy.
    • Have ability to problem solve and demonstrate resilience under-pressure.
