    Mobile Architect - Domain Architecture Leadership

    Mobile Application Architect Location:

    Fully RemoteSalary: £90kWorking for the UK's largest fleet management SAAS provider who's data driven platform enables 80% of UK big brands to monitor their connected assets & ensure sustainability within their day to day operations.

    In this key role within our Enterprise Architecture team, you will work closely with Product Management, Security, and Technical teams to lead the architectural design and planning for integrating various mobile and edge product offerings with underlying IT systems in the UK.

    As our Mobile Architect, you will report to the Head of Platform and Architecture, collaborating with fellow architects to design and implement a comprehensive Mobile Applications Integration Strategy, employing modern data and platform engineering practices.


    Mobile Integration Strategy and Architecture:
    Design and implement an integrated set of mobile and edge application systems.

    Research and recommend data tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and delivery of mobile applications, considering principles of Zero Trust Architecture, Information Security, and Identity and Access Management.

    Develop and maintain Mobile Architecture principles, standards, policies, and procedures to ensure secure, high-quality integrations and governance practices.
    Collaborate with technical and product teams to align architecture roadmaps.
    Lead successful technical systems integrations for mobile applications by providing guidance, training, and support to stakeholders.
    Stay current with trends and best practices, advocating their adoption within engineering teams.


    Technical Expertise:
    Utilize appropriate tools and information technologies to facilitate integration in a hybrid technical environment, cross platform.
    Knowledge of Mobile Architecture Patterns, MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture, secure coding practices, data encryption, and authentication protocols.
    Experience with DDD, API Design, Microservices, TDD, and related patterns and practices is highly beneficial.
    Understand principles and technologies for successful delivery of integrated mobile products and services.
    Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with excellent communication abilities.
    Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant technologies to ensure designs and tooling recommendations are valuable.

    Enhanced collaboration and communication between technical, product, and business teams, resulting in more cohesive and efficient functions.
    Reliable delivery of high-quality integrated solutions through optimized Agile practices.
    Increased cost-effectiveness and improved initiatives through automation and resource optimization.
    Qualifications & CapabilitiesProven experience as a Mobile Software Engineer with a track record of implementing best practices.
    Deep understanding of modern technical mobile application delivery principles, methodologies, and tools.
    Strong familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practical experience in their application.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of building strong relationships across different teams and functions.
    Passion for automation and continuous improvement, with a drive to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
    Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate technical teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    Understanding of cloud-native computing concepts and experience with hybrid or private cloud platforms is a plus.
    Team-oriented with a passion for engineering excellence and the ability to lead and inspire a team of skilled engineers.
