- Client Liaison, interface and management including maintaining key relationships with client representatives involved with the Framework Contract. Attending regular Client scheduled Framework progress meetings, design coordination meetings, commercial meetings and the like as required.
- Programme planning and management
- Commercial Planning - Responsibility and accountability for successful execution of the Framework in terms of quality of work, maintenance of schedule, budget and profit margins, along with the client satisfaction from commencement to close-out. Ensuring site teams comply with company commercial policies and procedures by monitoring and controlling the project performance against budget, identification of changes in the scope of work and ensuring that change orders are current and adequate.
- Oversee the preparation of early warning and change instruction documentation in conjunction with the commercial team.
- Produce and analyse progress reports, updated costs and forecasts jointly with the teams.
- Implement the risk management process
- Review the CVRs monthly with the project teams in advance of the main CVR monthly review implementing necessary actions.
- Overall responsibility and management of all associated Safety, Health, Environment & Quality matters across the framework.
- Experience working for a main contractor organisation in a rail civils environment.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of all aspects of the contracting process, and technical construction requirements
- Successful candidates needs to be able to establish strong working relationships with a wide range of clients and internal stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Relevant qualification in civil engineering (e.g. BSc / BEng in civil engineering)
- Civil Engineering and rail project experience is essential
- Contractual experience with NEC or bespoke NR forms of contract

Location – Warrington
Region - North West & Central region
Due to continued growth and following recent CP7 contract award, we are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to complement our existing North West & Central regional team, leading the delivery of portfolio of multi-disciplinary rail and civil engineering infrastructure projects throughout the North West & Central business region.
Business Unit
A busy and fast paced project environment with an expansive portfolio of civils projects underway including a line side rail civils contracts, bridges and structures renewals, large structural installations including new bridges, Access for All (AFA) schemes and general civils works.
Projects can typically include bridge upgrades and refurbishments, station work (platforms etc), access for all schemes, structures including bridges and footbridges, line side civils etc.
The Role
As Contracts Manager you will be responsible leading the delivery of a framework / portfolio of projects including the operational management of Infrastructure projects for Network Rail under the newly awarded CP7 framework. This will include the financial monitoring and control of works within the portfolio, also ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance is maintained and the Company's procedures and objectives are achieved. Requirements
To excel in this role, you will have previous experience in a Contract Management position or equivalent level. You will requirement demonstrable experience and knowledge of all aspects of the contracting process, and technical construction requirements and good commercial acumen is an essential.
