    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGWe are seeking a hands on Finance Assistant help with the within the Rights, Hospitality and Major Events Division

    • Main responsibility is to assist the preparation of the finances for the Major events division running the MLB London Series

    • Administration support to the MLB Team, Raise Supplier Contracts, Pos and manage payments, ensuring correct budget coding and forecast vs budget spend

    • Being the first point of call to client facing staff on all Workday queries & questions

    • Support preparation of month-end P&L reports for all divisions

    • Supporting the Finance Controller to deliver Actual v Budget Analysis and commentary on variations

    • Work closely with MLB team and Finance lead to ensure control of the client budget(s) through regular reconciliation.

    • Assist client team with supplier onboarding and supplier contract queries

    • Preparation of month end journals, Deferred Rev and WIP

    • Being first point of call on all things project finance

    • Ahoc finance duties

    • Sales reconciliations between various systems

    • Ad hoc Ops involvement if desired

    THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

    • Hands on, proactive approach with quick turnaround of tasks.

    • Ability to get your head down and work within tight deadline

    • Interest in and knowledge of sport and sporting events.

    • Strong excel skills

    • Commercially minded

    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to form positive working relationships with CSM colleagues in UK and around the group.

    • To communicate well both verbally and in writing.

    • Task based, organised, methodical approach to work required.

    • Commitment to seeing work through to completion – a finisher

    • Ability to work under own initiative but also to ask questions when required

    • Ability to work as part of a team & willingness to perform occasional transactional tasks.
