Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in a senior or specialised role.
This position offers an opportunity to lead and develop physiotherapy services, contributing to the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals with complex physical conditions and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex physical impairments, disabilities, or movement dysfunctions arising from various medical conditions, injuries, or surgical procedures.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and advanced clinical expertise.Utilize a range of advanced physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and other modalities, to promote healing, restore function, and improve quality of life.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and home exercise programs.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to professional standards and legal requirements.
Participate in regular clinical supervision, professional development activities, and continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.
Lead the development and implementation of physiotherapy service standards, policies, and procedures.
Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, and students.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects within the physiotherapy department.
Provide clinical leadership and expertise in a specialized area of physiotherapy practice (e.g., musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, etc.).
Oversee and facilitate effective discharge planning by assessing patients' functional abilities, providing recommendations for ongoing care, and coordinating with community services and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a smooth transition.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Physiotherapist.
Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience, with experience in a senior or specialized role.
Excellent knowledge of physiotherapy principles, practices, and advanced techniques in a specialized area.
Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Commitment to continuing professional development, evidence-based practice, and service improvement.
Experience in leading physiotherapy teams, service development, or project management is desirable.
