    Description

    Danny Sullivan Group is currently looking for a Senior Engineer to work with an RC specialist on projects related to HS2 in Birmingham.


    The ideal candidate should possess strong RC experience and solid technical know-how for this role.


    Requirements:
    • Review design changes and instruct setting out engineers on a daily basis.
    • Experience in quality assurance (QA) checks on-site & following company procedures.
    • Handle RFI's, call-offs, and possibly temporary works inspections.
    • Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities.
    • Complete diary sheets and provide photographic evidence as needed.
    • Undertake material reconciliations.
    • Ensure calibration of all surveying equipment.
    • Conduct as-built surveys and produce 2D & 3D site sketches.
    • Maintain quality records and ensure works are in line with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
    • Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming.
    • Mentor junior and graduate engineers.
    • Control and reduce waste on site.
    • Introduce new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.
    Experience/Qualifications:
    • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent HNC.
    • SMSTS/SSSTS certifications.
    • Strong RC knowledge and background.
    • Experience in a highly regulated work environment like rail/nuclear.
    • Proficiency in paperwork and dealing with process-heavy clients.

    This is an excellent long-term opportunity for an engineer in the Birmingham area. The client is willing to offer a competitive day rate up to £420 for the right candidate. Saturdays may be required as well. For more details, please reach out to Jimmy Holly at Danny Sullivan Group.
