The Opportunity

Roke provides technology innovation and consultancy to a variety of Defence clients and are seeking Enterprise Architects who are capable of helping our clients solve their toughest problems.

As well as demonstrable domain knowledge, you'll need a solid understanding of Commercial and Delivery activities on major defence programmes and a deep appreciation of how both end defence customers and internal defence organisations function to be able to position our clients for success.

Roke has a hybrid working policy as does our client base. Collaborative activities are likely to take place both on Roke premises and on our client sites based in Bristol, Andover and surrounding areas.

This is a customer-facing role; therefore, we are looking for individuals who have the appropriate technical knowledge and who are able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and act as a trusted advisor to our clients.

Design and Delivery Assurance (Desirable)

Essential skills/experience

Understanding of the Deployed and Tactical Military Domains in areas such as ISTAR, Communications and Information Systems (CIS) and Cyber

Awareness of relevant technology markets

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to create influence

Ability to build constructive relationships with clients, including adapting to their culture and ways of working

Excellent understanding of Defence Digital & Military customers and their business processes.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarise, write and deliver concise technical information and to apply appropriate data visualisation techniques

Experience within one or more of MOD environments (Air, Land, Maritime, C4ISR)

Ability to innovate and develop roadmaps

Proven track record in enterprise architecture, identifying opportunities for cost saving and reducing technical debt

Security

Due to the nature of this position, candidates must already hold current SC Clearance or be willing and eligible to obtain this. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV.
We will provide you with assistance in transferring your clearance, we also offer a high level clearance bonus.
